The 2023 NFL playoffs are underway, with the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles all in the mix. The New York Giants are back in the playoff picture for the first time since 2016 after a Wild Card win over the Vikings. The Dallas Cowboys will face the 49ers next weekend. The opening round of the playoffs ended Monday night with the Cowboys' dominant victory over the Buccaneers.

By winning in the divisional round on Saturday, the Chiefs and Eagles advanced one step closer to the Super Bowl, and two more teams will have the opportunity to follow them on Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, the action will get underway in Buffalo between the Bengals and the Bills. The winner of that match will play Kansas City in the AFC Championship. With a 27-20 victory over the Jaguars, the Chiefs guaranteed their place in the AFC championship game. Even though the Chiefs prevailed, everyone in Kansas City will be watching with bated breath this week for an update on Patrick Mahomes' health.
The Chiefs' quarterback suffered an ankle injury in the opening frame and was sidelined for almost the entire second frame before making a comeback in the second half. The Chiefs' victory means they will play in the AFC Championship for the fifth consecutive season, which is tied with the Raiders' streak from 1973 to 1977 for the second-longest run in NFL history (behind only the Patriots') (2011–18). Sunday's late NFC game will feature the Cowboys and 49ers, with the victor traveling to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in the NFC championship game. After defeating the Giants 38-7 on Saturday night, the Eagles progressed.

So Far in the NFL
The (7) Seahawks are defeated by the (2) 49ers (41-23).In addition to throwing for 332 yards and becoming the first rookie in NFL history to score four touchdowns in a playoff game, Brock Purdy Josh Allen, and a defense that produced numerous big plays helped the Bills hold off the Dolphins. In the history of the NFL playoffs, Daniel Jones became the first quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards and two touchdowns. The game-winning touchdown was scored after Sam Hubbard returned a fumble of 98 yards.
This game was controlled by the Cowboys the entire time. Dak Prescott threw for 305 yards and set a franchise record by scoring five touchdowns overall. To reach their fifth consecutive AFC championship game, the Chiefs defeated the Jaguars 27-20. The Eagles quickly built a 28-0 halftime lead and then easily cruised to victory. In the Bengals and Bills game on Sunday, Joe Burrow and Josh Allen will have their first encounter. This year, San Francisco will host the 49ers-Cowboys game instead of Dallas.
