SYNOPSIS
"If you want to write well, you must write a lot," writes Lynne Truss in her book, "Eats, Shoots, and Leaves." In that vein, I will be sharing excerpts from my current novel, Harry's True Story, in the hope that they will provide insight into what really goes into the writing process.
I hope you enjoy this. I have no idea how many entries I will make or whether anyone will care enough to read any of them. I tend to ramble. I have no idea if I can teach anybody anything. Who knows? Maybe you will.
J.R. Moehringer was the winner of the 2000 Pultizer Prize for non-fiction. The stories in the book were presented as if they were written by Ron Osborne, a man who was in prison for murdering his father. Many people were shocked to find out that Osborne never existed. The writing was done by James Patterson. This blog takes a look at the writing behind the book and how it was crafted to make people believe Osborne was real.

‘Can I Hug You?’: Meghan Markle Shares Embrace During Windsor Walkabout
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a hug with a young well-wisher on Saturday, September 10, after she and Prince Harry joined the Prince and Princess of Wales for a walkabout near Windsor Castle after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The video by Isabelle Charters shows the duchess approaching a group of people to thank them for being there. One of the group asks if she can hug Meghan, to which the duchess responds “of course” before leaning in for an embrace. Charters told Storyful: “We got so excited when we heard she was going to be there, you can hear the shock in our voices as she approaches us. She was so kind and sweet, a genuinely lovely soul, and I wanted people to see that.”
